Airport
One of the nice things about this cruise port is the proximity to the international airport (FLL) and a large number of hotel rooms within 3 miles. Taxis and Ubers are plentiful for getting back and forth.
I definitely don’t advise paying what the cruise lines ask for shuttles to/from the airport. You’ll find yourself sitting for a length of time in the airport waiting for enough other guests to arrive to fill a bus while paying more.
Finding Your Ride
FLL Airport is set up in a horseshoe fashion with Terminal 1 in the NE corner moving to the other terminals in a counter-clockwise direction. There are 4 terminals, with a fifth planned for opening by mid-2026.
If you’re using cruise line transfer services, find the rep inside the terminal near the baggage carousels. They’ll be conspicuous.
If you’re catching an Uber, hotel shuttle, or other transfer service, you’ll head to 1 of the 3 western (left) shuttle areas. You can find taxis at all 4 locations. Read the signage in each location for the best location for meeting your ride!
Port Everglades Terminals
Port Everglades has 8 cruiseline terminals. Terminal placement is generally fairly predictable, but in high traffic, terminals can overlap usage between brands.
If you're driving, you'll see the ship locations on overhead displays. Be prepared to show identification to gain entry to the port area, particularly if you're coming in from I595 or FL84.
You can get to terminals 2 and 4 without the checkpoint if you come in from the north on SE 17th Street. If you're coming in by shuttle or taxi, sit back and relax, they know where they're going!
