Athens International Airport

Located just over an hour to the east of the cruise port, Athens International Airport is the primary airport used for cruises departing Athens and just under 45 minutes from central Athens. For Hotels we recommend staying in the Plaka neighborhood in Athens near the Acropolis.

Finding Your Ride

Athens International Airport is laid out in a circular design with two main terminals - the Main Terminal and Satellite Terminal. Both terminals are connected by an underground walkway with moving walkways. All of the following locations are from the baggage claim area in the Main Terminal.

To get to both of them you will leave through Door 4 or 5

Piraeus Harbor Terminals

Piraeus is the main port for cruises departing Athens. The port features 3 terminals and 11 berths. The three terminals are:
Terminal A - Miaoulis
Terminal B - Themistocles
Terminal C - Alkimos

Terminal A - Miaoulis

Miaoulis is the main terminal at Piraeus
Can operate two ships with up to 2000 passengers simultaneously
It is less than 50 meters away from the berths with shuttle buses available for the further berths.

Terminal B - Themistocles

Themistocles has two berths and is set up to service mega cruise ships
Parking on site with shuttles available at a cost. Terminal is 50 meters away from the primary berth with shuttles for the further one.

Terminal C - Alkimos

Alkimos serves primarily as overflow and has shuttles to transport passengers between berths and the terminal
