Whittier

Airport

Anchorage Airport is where you will fly in for cruises departing from Whittier. The airport is located about an hour and fifteen minutes from the port in Whittier. There are substantially more hotels and things to do in Anchorage rather than Whitter and we would recommend getting a hotel in Anchorage. Would suggest staying in Anchorage in the Mid-Town or Downtown areas.

Finding Your Ride

Anchorage Airport has two terminals (north and south). It is a fairly simple airport to navigate.
For Taxis from the south terminal you will need to go just outside of baggage claim across from door 3. North terminal you will go outside across from door 2
Rideshare pickup will be located on the curb outside baggage claim for the North Terminal and on the curb outside of departures on level two for the South Terminal.
Shuttles will be available outside of baggage claim in both terminals.
For rental cars in the south terminal you will take the stairs, escalator or elevator to level 0 from the TSA checkpoint and follow the signs for rental cars through the tunnel. Keep in mind that this tunnel is around 100 yards long. From the North Terminal you can take the free shuttle to the rental car center. You can request the shuttle by using the wall-mounted phone adjacent to the terminal connector. You can also call 907-677-1074 from your cell phone!

A transfer service like ACT Big Bus which picks up at both hotels and the airport is a good option. Space on the train is limited and more expensive. Taking a taxi to the cruise terminal would be extremely expensive.

Whittier Cruise Port

Whittier Cruise Port features one terminal located on the picturesque Prince William Sound.

Hotels

We can help you reserve the right hotel for your needs, from basic to deluxe. As an agency, we travel frequently from these ports and have spent a lot of nights in hotels!
Our suggestions have all been vetted. Not that any individual stay in any property on the planet can’t have things go goofy, our recommendations are generally pretty solid in our experiences.
